This past Easter sunday I Finally got to see Immortal technique perform live. Got a few extra surprises in there througout the night like the Fred Hampton speech I posted below but after that IT brought the house down. Definately Bumped Immortal Technique up from my top 20 favortie acts to top 5.

This is just a 20 min clip. I got the whole show but its like an hour long. If you want to see it, and its for something Important I suppose i could hook it up.

Some asshole posted an assholish comment on one of my updates a while back, nothing too significant. Now I'll be the first to admit I'm not changing the world with the ignorant rap concert footage I post or bathtubs full of vomit. But this douchbag for one reason or another must have thought I wasnt "Up on Game" or something because he posted a link to an Immortal technique website (not too frequently updated by the way for those of you who tell me I need to update more). So I guess this post is for that dude Hope youre happy fuck face.

Yep Been a minute huh? I've been too busy huddled up hiding from the rain and trying to finally graduate from college to anything else as of late. However I had been Planning for months to make it out to the anual East Bay Rats Fight Party. Shit was completely off the meter, Imagine walking into Thunderdome and watching your Neighbors duke it out and play live music all night long. I had my trusty cannon with me but i was more concerned with blowing off some steam and having a good time than getting alot of footage. But for the three thousnd or so of you a month who happen to show up here (mistakenly or not) I give you a half an hours worth of crappy editing and one of my favorite Murder City Devils songs.

Back this time with some more concert footage since nobody likes the other stupid shit I've been posting. Its all good tho this ones bound to get me some traffic. Last weekend I rolled with the usuall suspects from the gurpcity family down to Petaluma to catch E40 rock the Phoenix Theatre. I showed up just as Turf Talk hit the stage and saw him as well as the Mossie do their thing. But Damn, when 40 hits the stage the place just goes nutso. This might not be the best piece of footage I've got, but it will definately give you some idea of how off the hook the crowd was. Now I wasnt in the best spot, off to the left standing on the incline of a skate ramp, so I wasn't EVEN ready for what happened when 40 Wata went into his latest single produced by Lil John "Tell Me When to Go". Literally the place went apeshit and I damn near kept getting knocked over by the people around me going absolutly retarded. Not to mention I was wasted off of Tall cans and Hennesy. Kinda sucks tho because it took a lil while for me to fully recover. See for yourself.

New Year with a view...

No big parties for me on New Years, holidays like these tend to bring out the worst in weekend warrior types. Not exactly my bag of tea, I spent all of my early to mid twenties waking up everyday with a hangover. So this year I decided to chill with the ol lady at her new place she'd just moved into. The place is insainly overpriced but it does have a pretty dope view, check it out.

The next year will is going to be big for this blog, be on the look out for more music videos, shortfilms, and tons of chickfights (kidding) but on a serious not I predict 2006 is going to be the year of the video blog thanks to doezens of sites like youtube.com and ourmedia.org popping up all over the place. Just wait someday I just might get paid to do crap like this for a living. Yeah right.

New things new things!!! I've been testing out new ways to host videos on this blog and make it compatable for all to view, not just those with backgrounds in codecs, compressions and bitrates. And after about a week of research, www.youtube.com has passed the test and been declared the winner. So hopefully now as this thing moves along there will be no more problems with windows of garbled text, frozen screens and unknown required plugins.

Just a quickie upload of some old footage I had lying around. The setup here is at a bar in Chico CA during an AIDS benefit called Beans 4 Queens. durring some down time they had a butter eating contest, and lets just say Stone Jessie (the guy on the right,) won hands down. hopefully this shit works, you should just have to click the play button and enjoy. When I started this blog I didnt intend it to be just me posting up random live show footage. Ive got tons of different events on tape from anti-war protests to girls gone wild. Fact of the matter is, this shit just takes too long for me to put together. Work, school and relationships take alil bit more priority in my life than a lil online notoriety, so if I only get to update this video blog once a month so be it. Ill do it with more frequency when it pays salary.

OK now that I got that off my chest, I'm actually kinda pumped on the latest update. The homie Big Max has a one hour radio show on a lil indy radio station in San Francisco. I happened to roll thru last Wednesday with the cam to catch a lil session between DNAE Beats, Conceit, as well as a newly grilled Z-Man. DNAE Beats is easily the the most persistant beat hustler in the bay area rigth now and if you don't know about Conceit and Z-Man check the archives. Heres a 10 min clip of what went down.

If you've been with earshot of me within the last few months you'll know that I am obsessed with the phrase "FUCK YO COUCH!" Rick James's immortal words made imfamous by Dave Chappelle, and now the ignorant rap anthem for Bay Area turf rap junkies like myself courtesy of Champ Bailey. Now if you live in the Bay and have happened to tune yer radio to the standard Hip Hop/RnB station in the area chances are you've heard "Go Dumb" the Bay Area Remix to T-Pains sappy Clear Channel sponsored "I'm Sprung." The Bay remix also courtesy of Bailey along side homey J. Valentine. The Duo are part of a collective called the City Boyz and have been pounding the pavement makin serious noise around my block latley. So I decided to slap on my white tee, put in my gold ones and shoot accross the bridge with the Mayor of Gurp City and his wife to get hyphy and fuck up a couch. 45 min in line and six Heinekins later I was dippin in the center of a hyped up crowd of Generation Thizz-sters ready to get my $20 cover charge worth San Quinn's little brother.

But it seems as though the crowd was just a lil too hyphy, After repeated requests to "CLEAR THE STAGE YALL!" and "BACK THE FUCK UP, YALL ARE FUCKING UP MY COUCH RIGHT NOW" a couple of tiny scuffles broke out and the clutter on stage wasnt showning signs of easing up. So after doing just one song and half of the first verse to "Fuck Yo Couch" Bailey exited the stage and I dont think J Valentine even touched the mic. Damn.

Damn these things are a pain in the ass to update. I have tons of new footage I would love to share with you all but I just don't have the time to update this thing multiple times every week.

But anyways, I just had a birthday this past weekend and amongst the fabulous gifts I recieved from various friends and enemies was an opportunity to go see the Federation (and a buncha other Bay Area music groups) play live at the Warfield in SF. VIP status was in full effect at this one, so I warn you now the following video is a result of excessive amounts of free drinks, the fam and myself in a room full of Larrys watching 15 minutes of without a doubt the most hyphy rap group in the Bay right now. I'll admit it was a lil akward seeing the Federation play in front of a bunch of squares and SF indie music scensters. It was us and about 20-30 others up front getting pumped surrounded by a shitload of people who were born with no hip joints. My bad for not seeing the Federation perform sooner. If anyone hears through the wire of an upcomming Fed show at Sweet Jimmy's in Oakland, or at the Ambassadors Lounge in San Jose let ya boy know. I'm sooooo fucking there.

Yeah that's me coming up to reclaim the camera, catch my breath and tell White Paul America that he "Needs to GO DUMB right now." I even laugh at myself when I watch this footage its too funny and the performance was too much fun (so were the free drinks of course). Summer in the Bay Area is dwindeling away and people are packing these last few weekends with tons of events. I had just jumped off bart on my way to catch some footage of an anti-war demonstration (more on that later) when I found myself smack in the middle of the 2005 San Francisco Loveparade. A giant rave had manifested in the early afternoon rigth in front of San Francisco's city hall building. Yeah,yeah those close to me know my feeling on raves and ravers so no need for me to go off on a tirade about it. But if you must know and want to see some funny pics as well check out the homie Big Max , his latest blog is the companion piece to this one. Anyway after about a half an hour of wandering around the perimeter of the event people watching, from out of the corner of my eye in the bed of a pickup truck I recognize none other than Prince Paul of Stetsasonic/De La Soul/Grave Diggaz/Handsomeboy Modeling School fame (and then some). It was kind surreal being so close and watching him play but then I noticed he was playing songs using two cd dj turntables. I wasnt quite sure what to make of it but I guess it you're going get paid to play cds then you go play cds and get paid. So this is it, I am officially a web nerd with too much time on his hands (yeah right!). Less than a month ago I purchased myself a nice little Cannon mini DV recorder. Since then I have been accumulating stacks of tapes with lots and lots of crap on them. I need to do something with this crap, so i figure where is there a place in the world where people just look at crap all day long? A colleague of mine had metioned that there are a number of video blogs popping up on the internet and it would be simple for me to contribute to the crap pile. So here I am. No not a pioneer blazing new trails, just a biter like everyone else.

Now lets see if this works...

Aside from being cooped up in a warehouse full of computers all day I record Hip Hop tracks at home for a number of Bay Area emcees, one of them is Conceit. A San Francisco native and underground freestyle battle champ. About a month ago we recorded this track at my studio apartment in Oakland. The beat was made by my good friend G Pek who has just produced an entire album (recorded by yours truly) for another SF emcee by the name of Z Man. The video is nothing flashy, I just put the camera in the closet when he was rapping and told him to try and do the track all the way through. Also, its only a rough cut of the final song but I think if you listen and watch you'll get the idea. Just a man and a microphone.
